Tonight The Click Clack Boom will be playing a FREE show at Brooklyn Bowl! They're a cool indie rock band from PA, and my friend Grant will be playing drums, so lets show some support. They go on at 8 o'clock sharp, so get there early!

Pictures: Christopher Lee Sauve show at Carnival

I took these with my cell phone that night, so they're not the greatest side-of-the-runway photos. Anyway, I finally got to see Amanda LePore in person... wow, she's tiny and her face looks so hard! This ended up being quite a fun party, especially if you were a gay man. Lot's of sexy models, photogs, and fashionistos were in attendance. The fashion show was reminiscent of the drag queen balls New York City had back in the 1970's... with a lot of Vogueing by the runway models, who appeared to be "real" people, for the most part. I recognized fashion blogger Katya Mooreman and Michael Musto from the Village Voice. Christopher Lee Sauve's collection of t-shirts featured pop-culture and fashion icons alongside hilariously offensive slogans like "Save Anna"  (Anna Wintour) and simply the word "Why?" for Lindsay Lohan. Ouch! In addition there were free stickers, which I later used to adorn my laptop with. Win!

CALLING ALL QUEENS AND FAG HAGS!

Hello ladies! Tomorrow night at Carnival Amanda LePore's weekly Wednesday party presents the CHRISTOPHER LEE SAUVE Spring 2011 runway show!
Not gonna lie, I have no idea who that is... but some of my fabulous photog and model friends will be there, so I'm expecting good things! Entry is free before 11pm and only $5 afterward. If you really feel you haven't spent enough money I suppose you can buy one of Amanda's new t-shirts... they're signed. The event is being sponsored by Dirty-Mag.com, of which I am also not familiar... but I sure like the sound of it ;)

Facebook Event - Amanda LePore's Big Top Fashion Show Party

Carnival NYC is located at 110 University Place btwn 12th and 13th sts. I've been here once before and it actually is pretty cool - you buy tickets and play real carnival games, there are weird dancers, and people walking around on stilts. Definitely something different compared to most NYC venues.

This party runs from 10pm-4am, but I wouldn't suggest staying all night.

ATTENTION BASS HEADS:

Haven't had your weekly dose of ground shaking bass? This Friday there is a huge underground party called REVOLUTION OF BASS at a secret location in Brooklyn! In two different rooms DJs will be spinning dubstep, ukfunky, dancehall, and electro from 10pm until sunrise. It's 18 to enter, 21 to drink and a $20 donation to the cause... not exactly sure if this is required, but new details regarding the location and cost will be posted as soon as they are revealed. Feed the Starving Artists is behind this event and they definitely know how to have a great time. Expect costumes, body paint, glow sticks, fire dancers etc.
Check out the facebook event for more details: REVOLUTION OF BASS !!

This is the sort of party one could stay at all night... and all morning, so I wouldn't suggest showing up right when it starts.

Welcome!

Bored in New York? As if anyone could be... but with so many things going on, how can anyone tell which events are guaranteed to deliver a good time and which ones are simply a waste of time. TimeKill is a new blog for young New Yorkers (think 18-25) in need of suggestions for ways to make the most of their free time. If you're into the downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn scenes, enjoy going to underground warehouse parties, want to check out some offbeat art galleries, or go see a gig, then this may be a blog for you.
